Case study

ulicnik.cz

A Prague community site built on WordPress in under a week — with frontend posting, Tasks and Events as custom post types, and one-click self-assignment to open tasks. Leaned hard on Advanced Custom Fields and a theme that was already close enough to the brief.

Under one week, end to end

Tight deadline, community-run site, nothing too ambitious — except for a handful of features that WordPress doesn't usually do out of the box: members publish posts from the frontend (no wp-admin), create Tasks and Events as their own custom post types, and assign or un-assign themselves to open Tasks with a single click. What made the timeframe workable was picking the fights carefully: a purchased theme that sat close enough to the client's direction, and the Advanced Custom Fields plugin doing most of the data-modelling so I could spend the short week on the few places WordPress actually needed custom work.
